Front Porch Classics Classics Baseball
Product Description
Product FeaturesPlayers of this old-fashioned tabletop game find that, instead of playing pinball, they're interfacing with America's favorite pastime. Manually played, Old Century Baseball has no electronic features--just sanded, stained, and nostalgically painted wood. Players pull back the hammer to pitch the steel pinball (there are two included) into the colorful field. A single wooden flipper--shaped like a bat--hits it. Instead of yesteryear's Red Sox or Black Crackers running bases, there are pinball holes or ramps to signify singles, doubles, triples, outs, or grand slams. Players use detailed score cards to keep track of Road and Home positions and points.
The 27- by 27- by 8-inch game requires some assembly. To that end, wood glue is included to attach the backboard, pennant flags, and field walls. Screws mount the exterior ball-return slot and support legs. No batteries required. --Diane Beall
